What Makes Survey Data Reliable?

Analysts are often handed a dataset and asked to make sense of it, with no say in how it was collected. By that point, many reliability problems are already locked in.
Question wording, sampling method, enumerator training and field supervision all shape whether a survey’s results reflect reality or just reflect how the survey was run. Reliable data is a design outcome, not an analysis outcome.
